Article (a, an, the)
(Indefinite) ‘a’ and
‘an’ used to know, the unknown thing and only for one a thing not more than
one.
Difference ‘a’ and ‘an’ :
Ø We using ‘a’ if the word started with
consonant . which is “b c d g p ,etc”
Example : andy will bring a book tomorrow
(in
this example, we know if andy will bring a book, but we don’t know what the
book brought by andy)
Ø We using ‘an’ if the word started
with vocal letter. Which is “a i u e o”
Example : when i was at the zoo, i saw an elephant
(in
this example, maybe there is any elephants at the zoo, but only one
elephant discussed)
(Definite) ‘the’ thats mean definite or clear.
Example : close the door!
(in this example, thats mean that
speaker and lawan bicara already knows which door should be closed)
